An example is shoji, Japanese style latticed sliding doors which bring out washi’s unique characteristics- they let moderate light through creating a soft and warm atmosphere and possess an excellent ability to control humidity and heat. Preference for washi goes hand in hand with the preference for things Japanese.

Beauty mold is the product of the technology that gives paper a three-dimensional form. It uses pulp and chemical fiber as its main raw materials. Because it is made by extraction and press-drying processes, it possesses a high dimension accuracy making it a perfect industrial packing material. Titanium oxide light catalytic paper

Titanium oxide light catalytic paper is known to have the ability to instantly breakdown nearby organic substances and ammonia when there is the right combination of light (UV rays) and water. Paper containing titanium oxide is dirt-proof, kills odor and germs, and unlike charcoal or zeolite, there is no adsorption saturation point. The repeated cycle of adsorption and breakdown with the aid of light allows this material to permanently maintain its light catalytic ability.
